1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings and use of accommodation provided by Komet Canal Boats (“we”, “us”, “our”). By making a booking or using our website, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. About Us

Komet Canal Boats offers static canal boat accommodation located at Aqueduct Marina, Nantwich, Cheshire. Our boats are provided as short-stay holiday accommodation and are not for navigation or hire use.

3. Bookings & Payments

  • A booking is confirmed once payment (full or deposit, if applicable) has been received and confirmation issued.
  • We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings at our discretion.
  • All prices are quoted in GBP (£) and may be subject to change prior to booking confirmation.

4. Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: Between 11:00 and 18:00 (or as otherwise agreed).
  • Check-out: By 11:00 on the day of departure.
  • Guests must inform us in advance of their arrival time.

5. Guest Responsibilities

By staying with us, you agree to:

  • Treat the boat and its contents with care.
  • Leave the property in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Respect other guests and marina users.
  • Comply with all safety instructions provided.

You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay.

6. Damage & Security

  • We reserve the right to charge for any damage, loss, or excessive cleaning required.
  • Charges may be applied after check-out where necessary.
  • A damage charge of up to £250 may apply depending on circumstances.

7. Use of the Accommodation

  • The boats are for accommodation purposes only and must not be navigated.
  • No parties, events, or commercial activities are permitted.
  • The number of guests must not exceed the booking confirmation.

8. Behaviour & Quiet Hours

  • Guests must behave respectfully at all times.
  • Quiet hours are between 22:00 and 09:00.
  • We reserve the right to terminate a stay without refund in cases of misconduct.

9. Smoking

  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the boats.
  • Smoking may be permitted in designated outdoor areas only.

10. Pets

  • Pets may be allowed by prior arrangement.
  • Additional charges may apply.
  • Owners are responsible for any damage or cleaning required.

11. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
  • Refund eligibility depends on notice given and our ability to re-let the booking.
  • We recommend guests take out travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.

12. Liability

  • We are not liable for:
    • Loss or damage to personal belongings
    • Injury unless caused by our negligence
    • Events beyond our control (e.g. weather, marina issues, force majeure)
  • Guests use the accommodation and marina facilities at their own risk.

13. Parking & Personal Property

  • Parking may be available on-site but is at the owner’s risk.
  • We accept no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles or personal items.

14. Website Use

  • All content on this website is for general information only.
  • We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee it.
  • We may update or change website content at any time without notice.

15. Privacy

Your use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
